OUR SERVICES

We offer a Free 15 minutes Consultation and examination . . .

almost in the first day of painful conditions.

With NHS wait times several weeks if not months for access to a MSK  or physio centre, We think it has spotted a gap in the Health Services for people that need ongoing treatment or a quick appraisal for a recently sustained injury or pain.

First treatment session:

Start off with a consultation to find out what your condition needs, even if you’ve had physiotherapy elsewhere in the past. You don’t need a referral from a doctor to book. Our multi-disciplinary clinics offer a mixture of Physiotherapy, Advanced Electrotherapy, Chiropractic treatment, Massage Therapy, Dry needling, kinesio-taping, Neuro-feed back, Myo-feed back, Optic Ped Scan and Corrective shoe insoles, Gait and Posture Clinic.

At Oxford physios, we are passionate about working together to provide the best quality care in a

welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Treatments and Techniques :

Massage:

Swedish, Cross Friction, Acupressure, Lymphdrainage, Shiatsu, MFR.

Soft Tissue Mobilization: contract/relax, strain/counter strain, myofascial release, stretching, neurovascular mobilization.

Joint Mobilization:

European, Australian and North American philosophies.

Exercise Prescription:

Home and clinical exercise programs are based on a functional and dynamic approach, which have immediate carry over to your sports and activities of daily living.

Education:

Risk factors, Static/Dynamic Postural, Biomechanical and Prevention.

Orthotics Prescription:

Orthotics (shoe insoles, Ankle. Knee, Pelvic, Lumbar. Whole spine and Cervical braces and supports ) for structure mechanical support or work-related or sports activities.

Kinesio Taping:

Elastic, latex-free tape lasting 3-5 days that may re-educate the neuromuscular system, reduce pain, promote healing, promote lymph flow and decrease swelling.

Electrotherapy Modalities:

Ultrasound- Continuous sound waves absorbed by the body that can reduce or control pain & muscle spasms, increase circulation and Pulsed sound waves absorbed by the body to accelerate tissue healing, and promote the reduction of tissue inflammation.

Phonophoresis- Localized delivery of medication into the body through the skin by using ultrasound.

Interferential Electric Stimulation- Two independent channels of electrical current crossing each other to ease deep tissue pain.

Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS)- Mild electrical current in low frequencies applied to relieve stiffness and pain.

Neuromuscular Re-education/Faradic Functional Stimulation- Medium to high electric currents used to activate specific muscle groups.

Microcurrent Electric Stimulation- Low level current used to relieve pain, increase wound healing and regeneration of tissue.

Iontophoresis– Localized delivery of medication into the body through the skin by using electric current.

Biofeedback/Myofeedback (EMG)- Measures muscle activity both at rest and while contracting through electrodes placed on the skin.

Infra-Red Heat- Increases blood flow, soft tissue flexibility, tissue length, relaxes muscles and decreases joint stiffness.

Ultraton High Frequency - Relaxes the muscles and reduces the muscle tension and hence helps the joint the treatment with SWD can be effective .

Low Level /High Power LASER- low level laser reduce pain, inflammation and edema, to promote wound, deeper tissues and nerves healing, and prevent tissue damage has been known for almost forty years since the invention of lasers. High Power LASER decreases pain in patients, reduces inflammation and rapidly induces the deep tissue photochemical and photothermic effects that increase blood flow, vascular permeability and cell metabolism.

Shock Wave Therapy -  or ESWT is a non-surgical treatment, and works by delivering impulses of energy, targeted to specific damaged tissues within the abnormal tendon, muscle or fascia. This increases the blood flow within the affected area, stimulating cell regeneration and healing, and decreasing local factors which can cause pain. This speeds up your body’s healing process. You will usually require a course of three to ten treatments, once or twice per week.

Heat Massage- Direct localised application of warm plate vibrator to the skin for 5-10 minutes to decrease pain and inflammation of local spasm and Trigger points.

Deep Tissue Massage Gun -The massager activates the muscles, stimulates blood circulation, significantly reduces muscle recovery time, relieves pain and gently stretch the muscles, fascias, tendon and ligaments.
